Christmas card outtakes

We took our picture for our Christmas cards this year at The Garden Supply Co. in Cary. Nana came along as the photographer but we were able to get her in a few pics with Jennifer, too! Garden Supply Co. always has great decorations that made for the perfect backdrop. Here are a few shots we took that afternoon that didn't make it onto the cards...

Merry Christmas!

Jennifer, Phil, and I enjoyed our first Christmas back in North Carolina! Jennifer had lots of fun opening all her presents Christmas morning ... although once she opened up a new pack of crayons she had to take a little coloring break! Crayons are by far her favorite thing right now. Phil and I hosted Christmas morning at our new house ... we had brunch complete with pumpkin spice lattes (homemade!) and mimosas. Even though we still have a lot of boxes to unpack, it was so nice being able to have everyone over to our place!
There are many more Christmas pictures to come, we're going to be working on unpacking and setting up the office tomorrow and once we get the desktop set up it'll be a million times easier for us to upload our pictures. For some reason our camera and my laptop don't get along. I'm really going to try to get back on track with posting lots of pictures on the blog again in the New Year!

Fun filled weekend

We had such a nice, long weekend! Phil has been busy painting the new house with lots of help, so Jennifer and I went to Bounce U on Friday with Nana and Gramma, then we were off to Marbles Kid's Museum on Saturday with Auntie Lauryn, Auntie Lisa, baby Liam, Nicole, and Taylor. Marbles was such a cool place, we can't wait to go back!

Happy Thanksgiving*

We have so much to be thankful for this year! While we were proud that Phil served the country for the last four years in the Air Force, we're thankful that his time in service has come to an end and we have moved back to North Carolina, much closer to family! We're so thankful to have such wonderful family and friends in our lives. And, last but not least, we're thankful to have so many willing helpers in the large task of painting our new house ; )

Happy Birthday to me : )

Yesterday was my birthday and we celebrated by going out for Goodberry's! Jennifer really liked the ice cream, but her favorite part by far was getting to play with the puppy that was there!

Halloween

Jennifer had a super fun Halloween! This year she was a puppy dog ... she absolutely loves dogs! As you can see from the pictures, she wouldn't stand still to let us take a picture, she was running around and loved looking at the other kids dressed up in their costumes. We took her to my friend Stephanie's house to trick or treat and she was more interested in playing with their puppy Josie than getting candy!

Belly Button!

Jennifer loves to find her belly button ... here she is rockin' her diaper and a pair of socks, showing off her new trick! She's going to be so excited once Phil gets here ... she even gave the video camera a little kiss when I mentioned "daddy!"

Fall!

Jennifer and I are loving the cool fall weather and seeing all the leaves changing color here in North Carolina! We can't wait until Phil's here with us to enjoy it all! In the mean time, we've been busy, busy, busy ... playing at the park, celebrating Papa's birthday, and choosing a pumpkin at The Garden Co.'s Fall Festival!

Our new house!

Phil and I lost our 'property virginity'!! Phil is still in Tucson and has yet to see it other than in pictures, but I know he's going to love it! We don't close until the end of November so we still have a while before we get to move in, but I really think it's going to be perfect for the three of us!

North Carolina!

Jennifer and I are officially Carolina girls! She's having a lot of fun, this is a video of her playing at Kelly Road Park near our new house ... but we sure do miss Phil!! We can't wait for him to join us here on the east coast!
